Lisa Grafstein is an American lawyer and politician serving as a member of the North Carolina Senate from the 13th district since 2023. She is a civil rights attorney specializing in employment law. She was the litigation counsel of Disability Rights North Carolina.

Cynthia Ball is House Deputy Democratic Leader.  She was first elected in 2016 and then re-elected in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024 to represent the 49th district, representing Wake County.

Hongbin Gu was elected to the Town Council in 2017. Dr. Gu is a faculty member at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She received a Ph.D. in mathematical psychology and a master’s degree in statistics from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is an active researcher in autism and child developmental delays.

Mayor Leonardo (Leo) Williams, a former teacher and school administrator, was elected to the Durham City Council in 2021 and sworn in as mayor in 2023.
